Arbatax, once a small fishing village, belongs to the municipality of Tortolì, is located on the central eastern coast of Sardinia in a region called Ogliastra. The nature, the landscape and the history of Ogliastra are a continual surprise and discovery for tourists. A true kaleidoscope of colours, both above and below the sea, where along the marvellous coast, full of beaches and inlets, one can take guided boat trips, do organized dives in crystal-clear waters and practise marine sports.
The inland is of equal beauty with its limestone plateaus, porous by nature and lacking in surface-water, they are characterized by wide flood-eroded valleys, enormous canyons, caves and chasms, where one can go mountain climbing, and follow trekking itineraries on foot, horseback or by mountain bike, landrover or quad bike. In the town there is everything you need to make your stay perfect: supermarket, pizzerias, newsagent’s, chemist’s, shops, information office, travel agency, car and moped rental, well-equipped beaches.
